I'm a software developer based on Madrid. In the last two years I've been working full-time developing Ruby on Rails applications and contributing to the Rails project itself. Before that I worked mainly in corporate environments developing web applications using .NET technologies.
I'm in constant search for the pragmatic excellence which leads to a continuous improvement of processes, methods and tools using agile/lean approaches, web standards and expressive languages and frameworks.
I endorse Uncle Bob's vision of the craftmanship of software development:
There are two parts to learning craftsmanship: knowledge and work. You must gain the knowledge of principles, patterns, practices, and heuristics that a craftsman knows, and you must also grind that knowledge into your fingers, eyes, and gut by working hard and practicing.
