I come from where it's nice and sunny now: Brazil! Last September I finished an MSc in Software Engineering (which had a very misleading name). My dissertation was on measures of linguistic similarity.
I'm now working at Songkick.com.

To me, the term craftsmanship indicates a less mechanical and more thoughtful approach to software development. Meaning that it goes beyond working through pre-defined steps, actively trying to be better developers and improving our skills daily.
